Before I jump into this post, I wanted to make a little note about experimentation. I’ve been working on trying different things from a content perspective. This one is about giving some tools versus just frameworks and words. I thought it might be interesting. According to the algorithms (data is data, but what you measure and what you decide is the question), this post wasn’t that interesting to people on LinkedIn. lol.
What is the difference in audience, and how should the content be different on each platform? For the most part I am trying the same content on both, because I have different audiences on each for the most part.
My approach is one of just sharing what is interesting to me as a visual learner. That is the loose theme or organizing principle that I am speaking to. I want to share what has driven, inspired, and helped me along my career and life journey so far.
I’m always open to feedback, so feel free to reach out or leave a comment or two if you find something you are missing, or on the flip side, things that you like.
Okay… back to the regular scheduled musings.

PRODUCT:
Visual Frameworks Card Deck
http://bit.ly/4kgTFfL
This deck includes a website (that’s free and explains the principles and visuals), a poster, and a set of cards.
Growing up with dyslexia pushed me toward visual aids like flash cards early on. No wonder I found a career in a visually-centric field. I honestly feel like I can’t think clearly without pen and paper to sketch and draw.

PODCAST:
Cal Newport’s Deep Work
http://bit.ly/46dIYXQ
Cal’s new book is phenomenal. It might be a bit dry for some, but the wisdom inside is pure gold. He’s brought together time management, mental focus, and productivity into one clear, relevant approach. If you’re new to his ideas, starting with the podcast is a great move.

POV:
My self-development journey started by taking a hard look at decision-making. Bring some mindfulness and attention to your process. Even if it means admitting that there is a lack of process.
Triage is something we all do (because even no decision is a decision). This is the lynchpin to change in any area of your life. While this sounds ridiculously obvious on the surface, I can guarantee that there is a lot to this idea that you might not even be aware of without deliberate introspection. How do you prioritize your choices?
Is it gut instinct? A trusted friend or partner? Holding your finger up to test the wind? A prayer to a higher power? Or maybe all of the above?
What’s your go-to for decision-making?
So glad you like the cards!
absolutely. I loved the link you sent out by Viczian as well. The idea of feeding the images into an AI was a twist I had never thought of.
